Pittsburgh Symphony plays 'Silent Spring'
WHAT The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performs the New York premiere of Steven Stucky's "Silent Spring," based on Rachel Carson's classic book of environmental awareness. The piece had its world premiere just last week in Pittsburgh. The orchestra's Tilles Center concert also includes Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 and Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 1, featuring guest soloist Hilary Hahn.
