WHEN July 10, 7:30 p.m.
HOW MUCH $39.50-$223
THE DEAL Unlike many of the classic bands playing Jones Beach this summer, Aerosmith is still touring with its honest-to-goodness original lineup. The Jones Beach show marks Aerosmith's first date in the States after returning from a tour of Europe. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, guitarist Joe Perry said the band could sprinkle in some, ahem, newer songs, such as "Monkey on My Back" or "Hangman Jury," as the set was getting bogged down with tunes from the '70s during the European tour. Slash, of Guns N' Roses fame, will open the show with the Conspirators.
WHO O.A.R., Phillip Phillips and Saints of Valory
WHEN July 11, 6:30 p.m.
HOW MUCH $25-$99.50
THE DEAL O.A.R.'s newest album, "The Rockville LP," is named after the Maryland town where the band grew up. Front man Marc Roberge returned home along with his wife to be near family and friends after she was diagnosed with cancer. When Oberge and his family went back, though, the other four members of O.A.R. came along and decided to write a record in homage to their hometown. Now, Roberge's wife is cancer-free and the band is touring on its album about home.
WHO Warped Tour
WHEN Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.
HOW MUCH $39.50
THE DEAL Breathe Carolina, Less Than Jake, Real Friends and Yellowcard are among the 98 bands set to invade Jones Beach as part of this year's Warped Tour. One of the hallmarks of Warped Tour is that set times aren't announced until the morning of the show, when they're written on a large, inflatable board. You can bring one sealed bottle of water into the venue, but the tour offers free filtered water at its hydration stations. Remember, the tour offers one (non-transferrable) free ticket to a parent of a minor who bought their own ticket, and until 6 p.m., moms and dads can hang out at the reverse day-care tent.
