Beyoncé launches a Tumblr

Hey, Beyoncé has a Tumblr!

B's site launched last night on her favorite day – which was 4/4, as fans of her album “4” know, and also happened to be her fourth wedding anniversary.

“This is my life, today, over the years – through my eyes,” she writes on the site. “This is where I share with you. This will continue to grow as I do.”

Like so many personal Tumblrs, Beyoncé's is filled with vacation photos, snapshots with her husband and various candid shots – including when she dressed up as Spider-man and pics of her nephew.

The Tumblr is a smart move for B. It's a way for her to let fans feel close to her while still limiting access to her private life, which she talks about less and less in public. Also, photos are much harder to misquote or take out of context than Tweets. Look for celebrities and “celebrities,” of all sorts, to follow B's lead onto the site.
