Matchbox Twenty and the Goo Goo Dolls will team up for a summer tour that includes a stop at Nikon Theater at Jones Beach on Aug. 17.

Maybe Goo Goo Doll John Rzeznik will have time to show the bands his Sea Cliff neighborhood and Matchbox Twenty can tell him about what they learned about Huntington from their recent appearance at The Paramount.

The Goos will be promoting their upcoming “Magnetic” album, due out in May, which features their current single “Rebel Beat.” Matchbox Twenty is still touring last year’s “North” album, including their new single “Our Song.”

Tickets go on sale Saturday through Live Nation.
