The Script is set to headline the “Strong Island Hurricane Sandy Relief Concert” at The Paramount on Thursday, with all ticket proceeds going to the Long Island Red Cross.

“As fellow Long Islanders, The Paramount wants to help our neighbors devastated by this terrible hurricane,” owners of the Huntington theater said in a statement. “We would like to thank The Script, and the other special guests, for responding to our request in creating this amazing benefit show.”

The Irish band has decided to move up its Dec. 5 show at The Paramount to Thursday in order to do the fundraiser. Tickets for the show are $49.50-$89.50 and now available through Ticketmaster. Tickets for the show’s original date will be honored Thursday. Those who can’t make the new date can receive a refund at the point of purchase.

Organizers are currently working to finalize the slate of performers for the benefit, adding that there will be additional special guests. The show, which was previously handled by WALK-FM, is now being promoted by stations throughout the area – including WALK, WBLI, KJOY, WRCN, WPLJ, and PARTY 105.
