CeeLo Green won’t be turning his chair for “The Voice” any longer.
One of the singing competition’s original four judges, Green told Ellen DeGeneres on a show airing today that he would not be returning for a seventh season of “The Voice." (Green was already sitting out the sixth season, which begins on Monday.)
“I don’t want to wear out my welcome,” Green told DeGeneres, adding that...Read more »
Well, there won’t be much suspense Tuesday night on “The Voice” Season 5 finale – at least not much generated by the contestants. (There’s always a chance of some sort of Lady Gaga-generated craziness. Or Celine Dion-esque drama. Or both!)
Tessanne Chin should win “The Voice” handily.
She simply outclassed Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin, with the power and control of her voice. The former...Read more »
“The Voice” producers sure like the drama.
Instead of sending home two contestants last week, they chose to cut only one to make this week a double elimination -- an especially brutal one, trimming the field from five to three. Here’s how the night shook out:
TEAM CHRISTINA: Amber Nicole vs. Josh Logan This battle may have been over as soon as the...Read more »
The third night of the battle rounds was all about potential. Unlike recent seasons, there’s no front-runner on “The Voice” this year, meaning someone is going to actually take the mentors’ advice and somehow learn to be a star. That should make for good TV.
There were plenty of possibilities in the third round:
TEAM CHRISTINA: Josh Logan vs. Michael Lynch, “Harder to Breathe” In the...Read more »
As “The Voice” finally moves into the battle rounds, it’s time to marvel at how good a TV show it has become.
Sure, winner Cassadee Pope’s post-“Voice” debut may give the show the moderate chart success it has been looking for this week, but really its core strength is now in the rapport between the coaches.
This season has found the original quartet of Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Cee...Read more »
