Bruce Springsteen beefs up a Tim Scott rarity for his new single "High Hopes" (Columbia) -- with help from Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello, who adds some flash and fire. It's the introductory title track to Springsteen's upcoming album, due out next month, which brings some live show staples into a studio setting. It's a tribute to Scott's writing that the three-decade-old "High Hopes" feels like it could've been written by present-day Springsteen, with its lyrical desperation for the old American Dream.
