6:35 p.m. Beyonce has taken the lead picking up four quick awards for best female R&B vocal performance and best R&B sing for “Single Ladies” and best traditional R&B vocal for “At Last” and best R&B album for “I Am... Sasha Fierce.”

6:27 p.m. Eminem picks up two Grammys, for best rap group performance and best rap album for “Relapse.”

6:25 p.m. Jay-Z picked up two quick awards, best rap solo performance for “D.O.A.” and best rap song for “Run This Town.”

5:46 p.m. Taylor Swift picks up her second Grammy, as “White Horse” wins best country song. It's Taylor 2, Gaga 2.

5:40 p.m. “This is my first Grammy, you guys!” Taylor Swift says, as she picks up best female country vocal performance.

5:20 p.m. Lady Gaga picks up two quick Grammys – “Poker Face” gets best dance recording and “The Fame” gets best electronic/dance album. She currently has the lead.

4:45 p.m. "West Side Story" won best musical show album. We're deep in the Latin categories right now, by the way.

4:27 p.m. So who is going to have the bigger night? Beyonce or Taylor Swift? My guess is Beyonce wins 6 and Taylor takes 5, but there are some possible upsets.

4:23 p.m. Imogen Heap wins best engineered album and accepts with her plastic parasol in hand and some sort of LED-lit necklace. UPDATE: Mashable explains Imogen's dress, which apparently has its own Twitter feed. Um, natch.

4:10 p.m. So there's 109 Grammys to hand out today and 100 of them will be awarded before the show starts at 8 p.m. on CBS. Tia Carrere and Kurt Elling are hosting the pre-show on grammy.com/live.
