Bob Dylan concert to reopen Port Chester's Capitol Theatre

Less than a week after the bulk of The Capitol Theatre's schedule was announced for this fall and winter, we now know that Bob Dylan will headline the Port Chester venue's first show following months of renovations.

As of noon today, The Capitol Theatre confirmed the news via press release. "It's a great gift for the Capitol Theatre and fans of live music," reads a quote attributed to Peter Shapiro, one of the theater's investors.

Tickets for the Port Chester show go on sale 10 a.m., Aug. 17, and can be purchased on www.ticketfly.com or by calling 877-435-9849. A ticket presale on Dylan's website begins at 10 a.m. Monday. Ticket prices are not listed.

Dylan is no stranger to performing in the Hudson Valley, even if no one's in the audience to see it. But he's an excellent pick to help reboot the theater that's hosted everyone from Pink Floyd to the Rolling Stones in its heyday.
