Miley Cyrus, who had planned to fulfill her European concert dates after canceling the latter part of her current U.S. tour due to illness, Wednesday postponed her first two shows on the continent.
"The May 2nd and May 4th Miley Cyrus Bangerz tour dates in Amsterdam and Antwerp have been postponed and rescheduled for Antwerp June 20th and Amsterdam June 22nd," the singer's spokeswoman said in a statement to Newsday. "Cyrus is continuing to recover from the severe allergic reaction she suffered on April 15. After a period of improvement, Cyrus' symptoms have returned and doctors will not permit her to travel."
She added that this type of extreme reaction can last up to 27 days, during which time Cyrus must remain under a doctor's care.
The next stop on the tour, London's O2 Arena, will proceed as planned on May 6. The 18-stop tour had been scheduled to end June 7 in Zurich.
