RISE AGAINST. The hard rockers mark the release of their new "Appeal to Reason" album with massive shows at Roseland Ballroom Monday and Tuesday with Alkaline Trio, Thrice and Gaslight Anthem. Tickets are $35 through Ticketmaster, 631-888-9000.

KENNY CHESNEY. The country megastar's latest album, "Lucky Old Sun," hits stores Tuesday with an eclectic group of collaborators, including Dave Matthews, Willie Nelson and The Wailers.

TV ON THE RADIO. Supporting the excellent "Dear Science" album, Brooklyn's indie-rock royalty is set with hometown shows at Brooklyn Masonic Temple, 317 Clermont Ave., Tuesday through Thursday.

ANTONY AND THE JOHNSONS. After lending his grand voice to songs from Bj"rk and Hercules and the Love Affair, the great Antony Hegarty is back with The Johnsons for the stunning new EP "Another World" and back in New York with a show Thursday at the Apollo Theater.

'CHANGE ROCKS.' Politics aside, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel's teaming for their first concert should be a night for rock and roll history.
