Ringo Starr has canceled a North Carolina concert, in protest of a new state law forbidding anti-discrimination statutes that protect LGBT people.
“How sad that they feel that this group of people cannot be defended,” the music legend, 75, said on his Facebook page Wednesday.
The former Beatles drummer added that he was “sorry to disappoint my fans in the area, but we need to take a stand against this hatred. Spread peace and love.”CONCERT DATESMariah Carey, more upcoming LI, NYC showsMUSIC ON LIJones Beach summer concert scheduleBARCLAYS CONCERTSBarbra Streisand, more Barclays concerts
