Support LI charities by shopping at Saks
Spend more, help more.
Following a successful charity program last year, Saks Fifth Avenue at the Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station is giving back to the community again with this year's initiative: Saks Loves Your Cause. From Feb. 1 to 28, five percent of purchases made with a Saks Fifth Avenue credit card will be given to the local chapter of the American Red Cross or to one of these local charities:
North Shore-LIJ Huntington Hospital: This community hospital has been part of the Huntington community and surrounding area since 1916. They provide a full range of services like cancer care, cardiology, neurology, maternity and specialized surgical procedures.
Fur Babies Rescue and Referral, Inc.: This no-kill organization based in East Rockaway is dedicated to ending pet overpopulation by rescuing from kill shelters and providing homes for abandoned, stray and neglected pets.
Each customer decides where his or her money will go.
"We appreciate our customers’ charitable involvement and again look forward to giving back locally with this exciting national program,” Saks CEO Steve Sadove said.
