“Everybody Hurts,” the remake of the R.E.M. classic by 20 stars corralled by Simon Cowell in the name of aiding victims of the Haiti earthquake, made its debut this morning.

With Cowell in charge, his protégée Leona Lewis opens the track, followed by Rod Stewart and Mariah Carey. (If this wasn’t for such a good charity, we’d comment about the sequencing there, but considering the cause, let’s tick a lock, shall we?)

Also on board: Susan Boyle, Miley Cyrus, Kylie Minogue, a reunited Take That with Robbie Williams, Jon Bon Jovi, Mika and others.

The single goes on sale on Sunday, with proceeds going to Haiti relief charities.
