Few videos merit "event" status these days. But "Telephone," with Lady Gaga and Beyonce, will certainly be the most talked-about video of the year. (BTW, there's some swearing and enough Gaga-in-a-bikini shots that might make it NSFW in some offices.)

Directed by Jonas Akerlund, the video for "Telephone," which is a pretty simple song lyrically, becomes "Thelma and Louise" meets "Goodbye Earl" remixed by "Justify My Love"-era Madonna and packed with inside jokes and product placement. In other words, exactly what you'd expect from Gaga. Right now, it's just a question of how fast this video will push the single to No. 1.
