Although it's a live- action film, "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" feels like a cartoon. The reason isn't the visuals but the script, which relies on the pop-culture winks and kid-level snark that characterize animated movies these days. The movie finds and sets its tone when three marble Cupids come to life and begin harmonizing like a boy band.
