Where they left off in the series finale and where they could pick up on the big screen.
Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker): She moves to Paris with artist Aleksandr Petrovsky (Mikhail Baryshnikov), who neglects her. After a fight in which he accidentally slaps her, she runs into Mr. Big (Chris Noth) in her hotel. He tries to beat up Petrovsky but fails (and falls down a flight of stairs instead). Carrie and Big realize they are meant to be together, and she returns to New York.
Possible movie arc: Carrie and Big decide not to be together, then to be together, then not to be together, then get married. (Surprise!)
