Katie Holmes made her Fashion Week debut Wednesday -- not that many people saw it.
Holmes showed her Holmes & Yang collection (done with designer partner and longtime stylist Jeanne Yang) at Lincoln Center under the kind of tight security usually reserved for presidents and kings.

Only 100 guests were invited to the presentation; everyone else got an email the night before from the Fashion Week press office warning uninvited show goers not to even try to get into the event.

What was the worry? According to a veteran security guard, "It was all about the Scientologists. That's what they were afraid of. She (Holmes) had like eight bodyguards."

As for the show? Not groundbreaking. A presentation, rather than a runway show, it featured 14 models on pedestals. Many of the outfits hit on the menswear silhouettes and luxury fabrics Holmes favors.

Both designers attended the preview wearing black leather blazers and black stretch pants. Holmes greeted well-wishers and chatted politely but granted no interviews or photographs.

"It wasn't soooo special to be honest," said Adam Glassman, creative director at O, The Oprah Magazine.

"The pieces were nice, chic, well-constructed. They're the kind of clothes that only you know are special when you wear them, and would certainly be wardrobe enhancers in your closet." And Glassman had a fave: "I loved the navy motorcycle jacket."
