After bolting from Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, Calif. Thursday, Lindsay Lohan has checked into the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, TMZ reports.

The 26-year-old reportedly checked in late Thursday night after E! News and others said she was last seen in a vehicle headed toward Los Angeles Airport. A prosecutor told the Los Angeles Times Lohan was apparently in violation of her probation after spending only minutes at Morningside, where Lohan's lawyer told a judge she was to perform a 90-day court-ordered rehab stay.

Lohan may have fired that attorney, Mark Heller, as TMZ also reports she rehired her longtime lawyer, Shawn Holley, who apparently negotiated with Santa Monica City Attorney Terry White to ensure the Betty Ford Center was an acceptable facility.

It's surprising that the famed rehab center even accepted Lohan, since the actress got into a fight with a staffer when she stayed there in December 2010. During the heated argument -- which was caught on audio tape -- Lohan allegedly threw a phone at Dawn Holland and yanked another out of her hand after the employee accused her of getting drunk and returning to the rehab facility past curfew. The actress was never prosecuted due to insufficient evidence.
