"Millionaire Matchmaker" Patti Stanger divulged her dating advice backstage at the Heart Truth's Red Dress Collection Fashion Show on Wednesday night.

The Bravo star told Newsday single people shouldn't feel the need to stay home on Valentine's Day, and that they should use the night to network.

"Get out of the house," Stanger said as a stylist finished curling her hair. "That's the night you know he doesn't have a girlfriend. Start scouring the city."

Stanger, 50, modeled a red, two-toned, floor length, pleated gown by Mark Bouwer in the show, which raises awareness about the dangers of heart disease for women.

"It's very sexy. It's over the top," she said about her look for the night. "I am breaking the barrier with this one."

A slimmed-down, size two Stanger also talked about her reality show, which is preparing to film its sixth season.

"Hopefully, looking at the budget, we are trying to go to San Francisco. And a lot of celebrities will be coming on."

As for her love life, she said she is dating and having fun.

"Sometimes you need to date and sometimes you need to mate. I am in a dating place."
