A trailer for President Obama's upcoming 17-minute campaign video, narrated by Tom Hanks, is circulating on the Internet and offering a glimpse of the incumbent's potential strategy.

Directed by Davis Guggenheim ("An Inconvenient Truth", the Oscar-winning Al Gore documentary), "The Road We Traveled" features interviews with an A-list cast of Washington types like Joe Biden, Austan Goolsbee, David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel. (Notably absent in the trailer: Hilary Clinton.) The two-minute trailer describes the film as a story of "determination and progress, told by those who saw it happen."

It also offers a full-throated defense of the president's decision to bail out Wall Street and the auto industry during the country's severe economic crisis. That move made Obama unpopular in many quarters and has provided Republicans with plenty of attack-fodder. "The Road We've Traveled" appears to make a case that the decision was good for the country and particularly "the whole Midwest," as Elizabeth Warren, who helped oversee the Troubled Asset Relief Program, points out.

The full video is due for release March 15.
