Lindsay Lohan is Team Romney.

In the same week the troubled actress' fight with her mom Dina made headlines, thanks to her dad Michael Lohan releasing a recording of a phone conversation which gave play-by-play of the argument outside Dina's North Merrick home, Lindsay says she's endorsing GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, according to E! News.

A day after leaving her mom's Long Island home, Lindsay stepped out at a red carpet event in Beverly Hills Thursday night wearing a lace and sequin minidress, and sporting her trademark red locks. She was asked about her family and Lindsay replied: “My mom is my best friend.”

The “Liz & Dick” star, when asked if she was keeping up with the presidential election, cited concerns about unemployment figures and threw her support behind Romney. “So, as of now, Mitt Romney,” she said. “As of now.”

E! News later updated their report on the endorsement, saying The Los Angeles County Voter Registration office told E! News last month that since she moved from her previous house in Venice, the “Mean Girls” star has yet to register and that voter material mailed to her home had been sent back.

Officials did tell E!, however, that Lohan was registered and did vote in the 2008 election.
