Shailene Woodley, the former star of “The Descendants,” the future star of the young-adult sci-fi film “Divergent” and the would-have-been star of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” has yet another movie coming out soon: “The Spectacular Now.”

It's an independent film that drew strong reviews at Sundance, and stars Miles Teller (“21 and Over”) as a freewheeling teenage alcoholic who wakes up on the lawn of shy misfit Aimee (Woodley). Kyle Chandler, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Mary Elizabeth Winstead are also in the cast.

Woodley, who was cast as Mary Jane Watson for “Spider-Man 2” but wound up cut from the film, is also appearing in “The Fault in Our Stars,” based on a novel about a teenage cancer patient who falls for a member of her support group. No release date for that film has been set.
