After being attacked on Twitter with various threatening posts, “The View” star Sherri Shepherd is bringing attention to a serious issue – cyberbullying. Shepherd headed to a Manhattan police station yesterday after receiving numerous threats she deemed serious.
“Somebody should drag u in a back alley and rape you,” wrote a user with a Lil’ Kim photo as an avatar.
Instead of letting the comments slide, Shepherd filed a police report and voiced her anger on the social network.
“We cannot let this bullying of our children continue ... we have got to standup to bullies -- even online bullies,” she wrote on Twitter.
The Lil’ Kim fan started the feud because of remarks made by Shepherd about the rapper’s physical transformation.
Although she was told that Twitter needs to be subpoenaed for the personal information of the user, Shepherd isn’t letting the issue go.
“I will be pursuing this legally,” she wrote.
