Actress Stacey Dash, best known for her role as Dionne Marie Davenport in the '90s film “Clueless,” came under Twitter fire on Sunday after she sent out a message urging her followers to vote for presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

“Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future,” she wrote.

Social media users immediately criticized Dash's endorsement, with many citing race as a conflict of interests.

“Wow so Stacey Dash is a Mitt Romney Supporter and doesn't hide it,” one user wrote. “The few black fans that she does have left should be disgusted.”

Others supported her pro-Romney stance:

"#ISupportStaceyDash for voting with her brain and not her skin color,” another user posted.

After the backlash, the actress defended herself, simply writing:

“My humble opinion . . . EVERYONE is entitled to one.”

Shortly after, Dash tweeted a message from Mitt Romney himself:

“Women have had enough of @BarackObama’s disappointment,” Romney posted. ”We need new leadership to get our economy growing again.”
