Third Eye Blind releases Occupy Wall Street anthem

Several celebs including outspoken rapper Kanye West, 98 Degrees singer Justin Jeffre, Def Jam co-founder Russell Simmons and Ben & Jerry's ice cream connoisseurs have shown their support for Occupy Wall Street, with some making visits to Manhattan's Zuccotti Park.

Now comes the latest sign of suport: an anthem for the protest movement. The song, "If There Ever Was a Time," was written by '90s rock band Third Eye Blind.

"I think college students are going to come to terms with the unfairness of student loans, the hallowing out of jobs from finance-based capitalism and the depletion of public wealth," said the band's frontman Stephan Jenkins. "When you take money out of politics, which is what Occupy Wall Street is about for me, you reverse these trends. This song is meant to encourage participation."

The song can be downloaded for free on the band's website and Facebook page.
