Hard to believe it's been a year on Sunday since Americans crowded around their TVs early in the morning and hosted British-themed parties, watching Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot.

The much-anticipated royal wedding brought with it the revival of long-sleeve wedding dresses and endless talk of Pippa Middleton’s backside. For many, it was a chance to wear old wedding gowns and sample U.K. delicacies.

For William and Kate, Sunday marks the end of a very busy first year of marriage.

In the past year, the two have traveled to the White House to mingle with the Obamas and moved into Kensington Palace, with new puppy Lupo in tow. Kate celebrated her 30th birthday, and William was deployed to the Falklands where he worked for six-weeks. While he was away, Kate delivered her inaugural speech as a member of the royal family and kept up her charity work.

Most recently in April, the pair became wax figures at Madame Tussauds in Manhattan, right around the time they had to deal with the drama of Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton getting wrapped up in a fake-gun scandal.

And what does the next year have in store for them?

We can only expect to hear even more baby buzz, with royal fans dying to know when they’ll see a little one crawling around the palace. We can also expect Kate to keep up her fashion icon status and impress us with more stylish looks. And lastly, we can only hope, the two will spend some more quality time together, if Prince William’s military duties don’t keep him away.
