'Pretty Little Liars' recap: 'Dead to Me' raises the dead

As the girls say goodbye to Alison again,

This week, the Liars each had their own personal revelations, helping to move the season and the episode along.

Spencer's wallowing over Toby, and while I get it — she's heartbroken, he's the villain, she's torn between loving him and hating him — it's also a bit more of the pathetic act than I'm comfortable with seeing out of her.

She's coughed up some major cash to have Toby followed...

Watch your back, Gaga. Justin Bieber may be the most popular person in the universe -- or at least the Twitterverse.

The teen pop icon recently bested Lady Gaga to become the most-followed person on the social media platform, the tweet-tracking tool Twitaholic reports.

As of Monday, Bieber (@justinbieber) had 33,938,371 Beliebers following him, compared with Lady Gaga's (@ladygaga) 33,766,160...

Super Bowl 2013 commercials: Seth Rogen, Amy Poehler, Psy and more

Psy stars in Wonderful Pistachios' first Super Bowl

Super Bowl XLVII has come and gone, but the brand new commercials premiered during the game are here to stay -- at least for a little while.

The price for a time slot during the big game keeps rising every year along with our expectations of entertainment. So how much does it cost to amuse us during the breaks? The hefty price tag is $3.8 million for each 30-seconds to reach 111 million people....

'Pretty Little Liars' recap: 'Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Inferno'

Secrets drive the Liars into taking desperate action

If nothing else happened in this episode, there's only one thing that would truly matter to me at the end of the day: a Liar finally acknowledged that if they STOPPED keeping secrets, then maybe A wouldn't have anything to hold over their heads.

That's it, recap over, I'm officially a happy blogger.

Yeah, OK, that lasted all of five seconds.

In all reality, tonight's episode...

Sally Field, Rob Lowe, more stars on game shows

Sally Field arrives for the 19th Screen Actors

Because I'm just too impatient for Throwback Thursday, I'm deeming today "Throwback Tuesday," in honor of this YouTube gem: a really fabulous montage of stars who appeared on game shows before they were famous.

Who knew Sally Field was on "The Dating Game," or what "Sex & The City"'s Cynthia Nixon was like at eight years old? (Spoiler: She was pretty sassy.)...

'Dallas' premiere recap: The Ewings are comic gold

Larry Hagman as J.R Ewing and Josh Henderson

On the prime-time soaps episode of PBS' “Pioneers of Television” series, Larry Hagman notes that he approached “Dallas” as a cartoon. The man did — and does, in the current season — play his J.R. as much for laughs as to move the plot. Hagman never takes himself too seriously, which allows the show to reflect societal flaws without being preachy. I find this more truthful than the more melancholic...

Kate Upton's sexy Mercedes commercial draws split criticism

Kate Upton attends the 2011 Sports Illustrated swimsuit

Mercedes-Benz released a commercial for its new CLA model Tuesday, featuring curvaceous Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton. Titled, "Kate Upton Washes the All-New Mercedes-Benz CLA is Slow Motion," the ad should be getting flack for false advertising, as Upton does not actually wash the car herself during the minute-and-a-half spot. Rather, she stands by and watches a group of young jersey-clad...

'Pretty Little Liars' recap: 'Misery Loves Company' goes beyond misery

Surprises abound for Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer,

OK, so I know with “Pretty Little Liars” I often find myself saying, “I don't know where to begin,” but this week I REALLY mean it.

Wow, just WOW. If this isn't the best, most action packed, revealing episode of the season, then I don't know if my brain can handle what the writers have in store for viewers.

All that aside, I was so hopeful that Spencer's little romantic surprise for...

Beyoncé lip-synced the 'Star-Spangled Banner' at Obama inauguration

President Barack Obama greets Beyoncé on the West

Be still, my heart.

My girl Beyoncé knocked it out of the park Monday with her rendition of the national anthem at President Obama's swearing-in ceremony in Washington — as if we, the people of the United States of America, expected anything less from Sasha Fierce.

But what we didn't expect (most of us anyway) is that she would lip-sync. I say "most of us" because sadly B has...
