'Dallas' premiere recap: The Ewings are comic gold
On the prime-time soaps episode of PBS' “Pioneers of Television” series, Larry Hagman notes that he approached “Dallas” as a cartoon. The man did — and does, in the current season — play his J.R. as much for laughs as to move the plot. Hagman never takes himself too seriously, which allows the show to reflect societal flaws without being preachy. I find this more truthful than the more melancholic...

Mercedes-Benz released a commercial for its new CLA model Tuesday, featuring curvaceous Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton. Titled, "Kate Upton Washes the All-New Mercedes-Benz CLA is Slow Motion," the ad should be getting flack for false advertising, as Upton does not actually wash the car herself during the minute-and-a-half spot. Rather, she stands by and watches a group of young jersey-clad...

OK, so I know with “Pretty Little Liars” I often find myself saying, “I don't know where to begin,” but this week I REALLY mean it.
Wow, just WOW. If this isn't the best, most action packed, revealing episode of the season, then I don't know if my brain can handle what the writers have in store for viewers.
All that aside, I was so hopeful that Spencer's little romantic surprise for...

Be still, my heart.
My girl Beyoncé knocked it out of the park Monday with her rendition of the national anthem at President Obama's swearing-in ceremony in Washington — as if we, the people of the United States of America, expected anything less from Sasha Fierce.
But what we didn't expect (most of us anyway) is that she would lip-sync. I say "most of us" because sadly B has...

Should Jennifer Lawrence put her foot in her mouth, or is her sarcastic brand of humor just misunderstood?
The actress, 22, hosted the first "Saturday Night Live" episode of 2013 Saturday, and she didn't hold back as she took some (lighthearted?) digs at her fellow Oscar nominees.
Playing off her best actress acceptance speech at the Jan. 13 Golden Globes -- when she exclaimed,...

If Selena Gomez and pal Vanessa Hudgens are trying to shed their Disney child star images, the upcoming movie, "Spring Breakers ," is one way to do it.
Judging by the trailer released Thursday, the film is sexy, seedy, and unlike anything Gomez or Hudgens has ever done -- unless you count Hudgens' supporting role in 2003's good-girl-gone-bad drama, "Thirteen." (I don't.)...

Anna Kendrick will "never" see a Ryan Gosling movie in theaters again, she said Monday.
It's not that she isn't a fan of the heartthrob. Rather, Kendrick is such a huge fan, she just can't help engaging in a little self-love while watching Gosling on the big screen.
"Ugh - NEVER going to a Ryan Gosling movie in a theater again. Apparently masturbating in the back row is...

The girls of 'Girls' are back for season two and desperately trying to move on to the next phase. But things haven't changed as much as they'd like to believe.
Hannah (Lena Dunham) wakes up the same way she began season one -- spooning with her roommate. But this time around, she's in bed with Elijah, her gay ex-boyfriend, instead of Marnie (Allison Williams) after a rocky end to their roommate-ship...

'SNL' comediennes and best friends Tina Fey and Amy Poehler didn't waste any time throwing jabs at their fellow stars upon taking the stage Sunday to host the 70th annual Golden Globes.
Highlighting the achievements of women in TV and film, Poehler picked director Kathryn Bigelow out of the star-studded crowd.
"When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who was married to...
