If Kim Kardashian didn't Instagram her Mother's Day, did Mother's Day really even happen?
Luckily, we don't need to philosophize because the reality TV star and social media darling did not disappoint her 14 million followers.
New mom Kardashian, 33, posted a black-and-white photo Sunday, clad in white, lounging on a plush rug and hoisting her nearly 1-year-old baby North into the air.

It may not be recognized by the federal government or most workplaces, but Sunday marks "Star Wars" Day, a semi-official holiday celebrated by fans of George Lucas' popular science-fiction franchise.
Why May 4? Mostly, it makes for a good pun. The holiday's slogan is "May the Fourth Be With You," a nod to the famous phrase "May the Force be with you," from the original 1977 film.

Of all the notable pop culture anniversaries in 2014 (The Beatles' arrival in America, television's 75th birthday), for women in their mid-20s, there is one that trumps them all: "Mean Girls" -- starring Merrick's own Lindsay Lohan -- turns 10 on Wednesday.
Tina Fey's adaptation of Rosalind Wiseman's self-help book "Queen Bees and Wannabes" was a surprise box-office hit, with a $24.4 million...Read more »
Leave it to Ellen DeGeneres.
The host somehow managed to coerce child-stars-turned-fashion designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen out of hiding and onto her set for Friday's "Ellen" show.

The singer, who grew up in Merrick, faced harsh criticism about her weight when she posted photos from recent sold-out performances in Chile.

Fox 2000 is developing the project, which would reunite Williams with director Chris Columbus, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The script is by David Berenbaum, who wrote the 2003 Will Ferrell comedy "Elf."

Last night Ed Sheeran hit the stage on "Saturday Night Live," and his performance has everybody talking.
The British singer-songwriter performed his upbeat new single "Sing" and also debuted a biting new track, "Don't," which tells the story of a former fling that ended badly (to say the least).
"I was seeing someone for a bit of time, and then they ended up physically involved with...Read more »
Attention "Breaking Bad" fans: Walter White is back. Well, sort of.
Bryan Cranston, who is currently starring in the Broadway play "All the Way," recently channeled the infamous character to help a fan who was looking to land the perfect prom date.
High school student Stefan Montana caught up with the actor outside the show and asked whether Cranston would film a quick video to ask his...Read more »
In movie jargon, the villain is called the "heavy." These days, however, that term applies more and more to the hero.
"Cuban Fury," released Friday, stars Nick Frost as an overweight man whose secret passion is salsa-dancing. Its comedic potential comes built-in thanks to Frost, a British actor who stands five-foot-seven-inches and weighs what looks like 250 pounds or more. If the film sounds...Read more »
Lindsay Lohan has a problem. And it's not one the tabloids have grabbed onto in the past.
I'm no doctor, but a quick schooling via five episodes of "Lindsay" leaves a pretty clear sense that she's a shopaholic.
Early in Sunday's episode, Lohan sells clothing at a consignment store. And then she starts looking around, oh-my-god-ing about an Alaia black trench, getting giddy over a Saint...Read more »
