Rosie O'Donnell said she suffered a heart attack last week and is "lucky to be here."

Detailing the experience on her blog Monday, the 50-year-old comedian said she was walking through a Nyack parking lot Tuesday when she helped “an enormous woman struggling to get out of her car.” A few hours after assisting the woman, O’Donnell said that sudden nausea, aches and other symptoms pushed her to do an online search for "women's heart attack symptoms."

She says her coronary artery was 99 percent blocked and that doctors inserted a stent. O'Donnell concluded her poem by imploring her readers to be aware of warning signs. "Know the symptoms, ladies,” she wrote. “Listen to the voice inside the one we all so easily ignore."

It was just the latest medical scare for O’Donnell. Her fiancee, SUNY New Paltz graduate Michelle Rounds, learned she has desmoid tumors earlier this year, which O'Donnell announced on her blog in August. After Rounds' diagnosis, the couple postponed their wedding plans until next summer.

O'Donnell is currently recovering at her Nyack home. Her representative told People that "she is now home and resting comfortably. She is very, very lucky."
