Top Dog contest wraps up
Photo credit: Charles Eckert, Freelance | Jessica's Hula Dancer, a Yorkshire Terrier, is prepped before the American Kennel Club unveiled its Top 10 dog breeds in America on January 15, 2006. The Yorkshire Terrier, fondly called the "Yorkie", has overtaken the Golden Retriever and German Shepherd to become the second most popular purebred dog in America according to AKC registration figures.
See the Top Dog finalists
Voting has ended in the 'Top Dog' contest; we're tabulating votes--and checking for ballot stuffers!--so come back Monday at 11:00 a.m. to find out the 'Top Dog' overall winner from the four finalists.
The winner will receive mass adulation... and maybe a doggy treat as well.
You can still see all entries and add your dog to the group, but unfortunately he/she won't be eligible for this particular contest.
Go here to see all the entries, not just the finalists. You can then click 'upload your own photo' in the lower right corner if you'd like.
