Mun2 goes wall to wall with Jenni Rivera
Mun2, the TV home of Mexican "banda" star Jenni Rivera, who along with her entourage, died in a plane crash Sunday, will air a two-day marathon of her hit unscripted, "I Love Jenni," beginning tonight through tomorrow.
Meanwhile, contrary to reports, it's unclear just how far along Rivera was in development for an ABC sitcom based on the mun2 series, which is a big hit for the NBCUniversal/Comcast-onwed network. Before her death, she'd just begun exploring a future sticom under the auspices of Bob Boyett, the second half of ABC's '80s hit factory, Miller/Boyett; Boyett has long since left TV for Broadway and the stage, where he's a prominent producer... ABC yesterday there as yet no pilot - just an idea still in formation.
