TLC sues Jon Gosselin

The war continues and, in fact, escalates.
In yet another remarkable turn - proving that what goes on off-screen is vastly more amusing than on - TLC has filed a breach-of-contract suit against Jon Gosselin.
LA Times had the story a little while ago, and reports that it was filed this morning in the Circuit Court of Montgomery County, Md., and "charges that Gosselin violated his contract by taking paying gigs from other television shows without permission including the CBS syndicated shows "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider" while still under exclusive contract." The suit adds that his constant criticisms and misstatements about the show to the press - including, that amazing "Larry King Live" self-destructo interview - has hurt the show. Per TLC, it has "privately and patiently" attempted for months to get Gosselin to shut his big fat mouth, but of course that's been like trying to put a cap on a volcano, or in TLC's genteel phrasing, "those efforts have been unsuccessful." So, saddle up, Jon boy. You got a date in court. (Methinks this breach-of-contract suit is simply payback: The guy's been a pain in the butt in many many ways, including that obnoxious sign outside the manse in Pennsylvania and then refusal to let the kids be filmed. TLC isn't asking for much - just the dough he got from these shows. Seems to me if they were really out for blood, they could have sued for damages, too, saying his motor-mouthing hasn't only hurt TLC's image but completely scuttled this silly show as well. They might even have a case...)>> PHOTOS: "Jon & Kate Plus 8"
