ABC sets fall premiere dates

ABC has announced the fall premiere dates for its new and returning shows, including the highly anticipated "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." from Joss Whedon, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The season begins Sept. 6, with the new season of venerable newsmagazine "20/20." "Dancing With the Stars" returns Sept 16. And Sept. 20 sees the return of "Last Man Standing," "The Neighbors" and "Shark Tank." The new shows start debuting the following week. After "Castle" returns on Sept. 23, the network is premiering "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "The Goldbergs," "Trophy Wife" and "Lucky 7" on Sept. 24.

"S.H.I.E.L.D." is a spinoff of Marvel's ever-expanding film universe, most notably "The Avengers." "The Goldbergs" is a nostalgic comedy starring Jeff Garlin; "Lucky 7" is a drama about lottery winners adapted from the British TV show "The Syndicate"; and "Trophy Wife" stars Malin Akerman as the new wife of a wealthy man with a whole slew of children from his first marriage.

Sept. 25, sees the return of "The Middle," "Nashville" and a special one-hour "Modern Family" as well as the premiere of "Back in the Game" starring James Caan.

Sept. 26 marks the two-hour season premiere of "Grey's Anatomy." On Sept. 29, "Once Upon a Time" and "Revenge" return, along with the premiere of "Betrayal," about an unhappily married woman who begins an affair with an attorney that only gets more complicated.

Rebel Wilson's comedy "Super Fun Night" premieres Oct. 2. "Scandal" returns Oct. 3. "America's Funniest Home Videos" returns Oct. 6. And finally, the premiere of the "Once Upon a Time" spinoff series "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" makes its debut Oct. 10.
