Alyssa Milano and George Segal have new gigs

WHO Alyssa Milano
YOU KNOW HER AS Phoebe on "Charmed" (1998-2006) and Billie on "My Name Is Earl" (2007-08)
THE NEWS She has signed on for a guest stint on ABC's quirky detective drama "Castle." Milano will play the ex-girlfriend of lead character Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion), a mystery novelist who works with the New York Police Department. Her appearance is sure to complicate the flirtatiously charged relationship between Castle and detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic).
COMING UP Milano also will star in the ABC midseason comedy "Romantically Challenged." The show is about a 30-something man who is torn between his needy best friend and new girlfriend (Milano).

LAST BIG TV ROLE Publisher Jack Gallo on "Just Shoot Me" (1997-2003)
THE NEWS The veteran actor will star in TV Land's comedy pilot "Retired at 35." The project follows a successful young businessman who decides to leave the New York rat race behind and move into his father's Florida retirement home. Segal will play the father, a former insurance executive who loves his new lifestyle of partying and fun.
