Alicia Keys brings 'Tears' to 'American Idol' as Randy Jackson announces departure

"American Idol" is cutting to its Season 12 final two tonight -- just hours after veteran judge Randy Jackson announced this is his last year.

Ryan Seacrest has some fun with this, stopping in front of Jackson's chair during his opening right after saying we'll find out tonight who's "leaving the show." He then quips, "how about a heads up?!" as Jackson laughs.

Lauren Alaina from Season 10 returns to the show, singing "Barefoot and Buckwild." Not crazy about it -- she seems to be trying to be some combination of Carrie Underwood and Kellie Pickler, but she's not anything like them.

Alicia Keys next, singing "Tears Always Win." Looks great, sounds fantastic. Sense of urgency to the song, and it builds to something. One of the most enjoyable guest songs of the season.
