Now, the ladies.

In a shocking first pick, Janelle Arthur takes the first spot. After her off-pitch performance last night, I thought she was going home for sure.

But, her performance of Dierks Bentley's "Home" -- reminiscent of Carrie Underwood -- was pretty good and suffices to prove why she's still here.

"This might be the best you've ever looked and sounded," Nicki Minaj tells Arthur, her "marshmallow."

Candice Glover is up next, and gets a standing ovation from the judges when she takes the stage. "I'm Goin' Down" by Mary J. Blige is an excellent choice for her deep, diva-quality voice. "This girl can really, really sing, and this is a singing competition," Randy Jackson says.

Piano girl Angie Miller makes it through next, and takes on Beyonce's "I Was Here" (sans piano). Taking on a Queen Bey ballad is a risk for anyone, and Miller doesn't knock it out of the park. But it brings Keith Urban nearly to tears nonetheless.
