American Idol

Candice Glover won "American Idol" Season 12 over Kree Harrison as Psy, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J, Adam Lambert and Aretha Franklin performed.

Mariah Pulice leaves Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj in tears; Curtis Finch lifts up 'American Idol' judges

Curtis Finch, Jr. next on "American Idol," he's a tutor who's singing Smokie Norful's "God Is Able." This man can sing; nothing fancy, just gospel-like voice, emotion. "O-M-G" says Nicki Minaj, they send him on, quickly.

"You are so blessed," Minaj quietly says to him afterward.

Mariah Pulice next, she says she's recovering from anorexia, tears up talking to the judges. Then she does a slow, emotional version of "Let It Be." Pin-drop quiet, an intensity and sincerity in the performance that hasn't been matched so far this season. Gets Mariah Carey in tears.

"I really, really felt that song coming from you," says a subdued and serious Minaj.

"You sounded great, I loved it," says Randy Jackson.

"You touched me," says Carey, thanking her for sharing her story. She's through, her family and friends come in and mob her; Minaj is tearing up too.

Going to be one of the best stories this season, hope her voice holds up.
