American Idol

"American Idol" season 11 live-blogging -- as Jessica Sanchez and Phillip Phillips duke it out.

Vocal Brielle von Hugel advances on 'American Idol' along with Shannon Magrane, Mathenee Treco

Group 679 next up on "American Idol," obnoxious Brielle von Hugel and her stagey mom are caught on tape complaining about everyone but themselves.

Also doing Blu Cantrell's "Hit 'em Up Style (Oops!),"  the thing about Brielle is she can really sing, even if she comes across poorly personality-wise.. The group's really good, actually -- tons of fun, everyone's hitting their notes. Really nice song choice. Shannon Magrane gives them a big finish; that was fun.

Brielle, Shannon, Joshua Ledet and Amber Caparas are through; Kyle Crews is cut.

And then Jacquie Cera faints in the audience, is crying, saying "so dizzy" -- oh, she had Amy Brumfeld, who's been sick, in her group. She winds up coming back, says she's going to sing.

Dustin Cundiff starts them on Boston's "More Than a Feeling," forgets the lyrics, Amy does too, Mathenee Treco goes big but I don't think he's great either, nor is Jacquie at the end.

"This whole group was a bit of a mess," as Randy Jackson says. They're all cut, but for Mathenee.
