Kree Harrison next on "American Idol," singing Susan Tedeschi's "It Hurts So Bad." Not crazy about the song choice -- not that well known and it starts off a bit sedate, and she's swallowing some words. It gets better as it goes on, but we've seen better from her.
Randy Jackson says "I don't know if it's the best vocal I've heard from you," calls it a bit...Read more »
The "American Idol" fantastic final four -- Angie Miller, Amber Holcomb, Kree Harrison and Candice Glover -- are set to perform a song of their choice and then a song based on a fan-chosen theme tonight (the buzz is it's one-hit wonders.)
It's easily the best final four ever; really looking forward to the night, everyone fully deserves to be here and there are no weak links.
Holcomb...Read more »
The “American Idol” top 4 finalists, Candice Glover, Kree Harrison, Amber Holcomb and Angie Miller, will perform two songs each Wednesday.
Rumor has it that the themes for this week are "one hit wonders" – songs from artists that hit the Top 40 only once – and free choice.
"American Idol" season 9 winner Lee DeWyze will perform his new single “Silver Lining”...Read more »
'American Idol' results: Janelle Arthur eliminated as Clay Aiken, Fantasia Barrino and Paula Abdul return
With lackluster showings from Janelle Arthur and Amber Holcomb -- plus a powerful Beyoncé cover by Angie Miller that came out of nowhere -- on Wednesday's ladies' night, Thursday's results show was set to go one of, well, many ways.
The big questions: Has Arthur lost her opportunity to prove she belongs in this competition? Judge Nicki Minaj, for one, was less than impressed with...Read more »
To quote Keith Urban on last night’s “American Idol”: “We’ve got an Amber alert going on!” Four of our nine “Idol” psychics predict Amber Holcomb will end up having the lowest number of votes when tonight’s results are revealed on “Idol.” The good news is that all four expect the judges to save her.
Diva wannabe Amber took on Mariah Carey’s “Without You,” which got “mad props” from Randy Jackson,...Read more »
The boys are gone, gone, gone from the stage of 'American Idol' leaving five girl finalists. And along with the boys went all that inauthentic styling – the peacock colored tuxedo jackets, shimmery bow ties and dandy shoes.
The only fashion shocker of Wednesday night went to Nicki Minaj, whose ruby red lips matched the melted-on-her-body slither by DSquared2 featuring a large circular cutout...Read more »
Angie Miller admits she takes a risk by ditching the piano for her second song Wednesday night when the Top 5 take on diva hits, but she says it's one she's willing to take.
And boy, does she go for it.
Beyoncé's "Halo" was bold for the country cutie, but Miller was truly amazing as unleashed on the ballad, really stretching her voice. This is precisely the kind of boldness...Read more »
For the divas portion of the night, Candice Glover boldly goes where no other woman on the show probably could: a Mariah Carey/Whitney Houston duet, "When You Believe." She doesn't skip a beat. Glover (obviously) doesn't outdo them, but more importantly, she doesn't try to. It's beautiful.
Fittingly, Janelle Arthur does Dolly Parton's "Dumb Blonde." (That's not to say she...Read more »
Kree Harrison's "She Talks to Angels" by the Black Crowes was effortless, but I have to disagree with Randy Jackson, who said while he wasn't sure it was vocally flawless, he felt it emotionally. I thought the opposite — she delivered it perfectly, but I didn't feel much from her.
Nicki Minaj prefaces her critique by saying she disagrees with the rest of the panel, but Mariah Carey...Read more »
With the "American Idol" Season 12 winner now guaranteed to be a female, the Top 5 ladies are set to battle it out as we near the final countdown. As Ryan Seacrest reminds the audience at the top of the show, the winner will be crowned in less than one month.
Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, Kree Harrison, Janelle Arthur and Angie Miller will each perform twice tonight -- first, singing...Read more »
