American Idol

Candice Glover won "American Idol" Season 12 over Kree Harrison as Psy, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J, Adam Lambert and Aretha Franklin performed.

Jessica Sanchez told by Akon she's 'gonna be a legend one day' on 'American Idol'

Jessica Sanchez singing Jazmine Sullivan's "Stuttering" next on "American Idol." Guest mentor Akon wants to sign her up right now. "Yo, I knew from Day One, I said she's going to be a legend one day," he says. "I believe it, I really do." Wow.

Starts out sitting on the piano, such amazing tone and control from the get-go. She's totally a natural; gets the rhythm of the song exactly right, performs it so easily. And is different each week -- never know what she's going to do.

Not an inherently great song, but she raises it to another level.

"That was superb," says Randy Jackson, calling it a really hard song to sing and telling her, "You did an amazing job on that song."

Jennifer Lopez tells her you can really take "America on a ride," and wants her to be more like Joshua Ledet, sing something more impactful -- "show us something we've never seen."

I know exactly what she means; we want her to take over, take a great song and do something super big and crazy with it that everyone will be talking about the next day.
