Chris Daughtry is back on "American Idol," singing "September." What a great voice. He was one of my five favorite contestants ever on this show.

Sincere, smart, creative, with a fierce desire to sing and win. He's a treat to listen to and it's one of the best guest spots this season.

"We're fortunate we have fans that wanna come out and see us, and we don't take it for granted," Daughtry tells Ryan afterwards.

Wow, Ryan asks Ellen what's the difference between him and the contestants, she actually says, well, not much difference....

Randy says "this is what you aspire to be." Chris tells them, "stay hungry -- and don't compromise the music you love."
