Entourage 6/6: I'm gonna miss Ashley

Eric Murphy's lady friend Ashley, played by Alexis Dziena, quietly slinked onto the scene earlier this season.

When she did, I wasn't too thrilled with her character. But as the episodes progressed and her character arc developed, I started to like her. Ashley was a sweet girl, and in the early stages of a relationship, she did everything a guy could ask for. She had a lot of qualities that could make a fella happy.

Let's review:

1) She cooked for E.

2) She hung out with the fellas.

3) She helped E get out of his own way with his career.

4) She had her own business.

5) She's not afraid to come by her man's office, and oh, hello, afternoon delight!

6) She dropped the line "The night we met, I wanted to go home with Drama."

7) She was clingy, but in a good way, if such a distinction can be made. ("Clingy" is probably the wrong word here but it's too late in the night for me to think of the right one.)

8) She exhibited very few "girl crazy" characteristics.

9) Even when she ended it with E in the last scene of Episode 6, she was sweet about it, closing with "Here's your one chance to clear it all with me and let me think of you in a good light."

But now she's a scorned woman, thanks to E's mysterious ways and covert actions with Sloan sightings. Let's hope this is the last we see of Ashley this season because I fear if she's back for another episode or two, they'll turn her into a crazy, vindictive chick, and then I won't be able to think of her in a good light.

I want to get angry with her for checking E's voicemail when she grabbed his ringing phone while he was in the shower. But, she was smart enough to know to delete the call from his call log, so I have to admire the ingenuity there. That's the only way to be.

If E was smart, he would have covered his tracks. How so, you ask?

Here's a quick lesson from your favorite Uncle Mark, one that's been tested and proven effective time and time again (although I will deny it in a court of law): Never ever ever ever delete a phone number of a recent ex-girlfriend from your phone, ESPECIALLY if you're going to "be friends." Just change the name in your address book to "Don't Answer."

This way, you know not to answer that phone, and no one else can figure out who's calling you if they see your call logs. Trust me, playas, it's genius.
