Let's blog it out as Ari Gold, Johnny Drama and the crew from HBO's "Entourage" return for the eighth and final season. Victory!
Whether it's the unedited version on cable, the badly dubbed version on another station or side two of the DVD, I never watch the last half hour of "Goodfellas."
Why, you ask? Because I get mad every time I see Paulie (played by Paul Sorvino) give a befallen Henry Hill $3,200 and says "And now I must turn my back on you."
As Hill (Ray Liotta),...Read more »
In the interests of justice, we'll give you what we found to be the best printable line from Episode 3.
It came from Scott Lavin, played by Scott Caan. While at an auction with Vince, he was looking at a dinosaur head when Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson came by. He's the owner of the item trying to sell it for a profit.
Peterson was asked why he was selling it, and Lavin...Read more »
Episode 2 has us leaning toward believing Vince has postconcussion syndrome from the car accident in the season 7 premiere. We're not buying the buzzed-on-pain-meds storyline.
Among the "weird" things Vince did was cut his hair by himself. At the press junket for his new "Ferrari" movie, publicist Shauna (Debi Mazar) comes up from behind Vince and delivers this...Read more »
It was a classic Ari Gold egomaniacal line and, typically, it's not reprintable here. Nevertheless, the Ari Gold Mine in the Season 7 premiere came about after director Nick Cassavetes put an ad in a trade magazine. Payback for telling the studio he was going to let Vince do his own car stunt.
The photo in the ad was of Ari dressed in drag back in college. Ari was quick to reply, suggesting...Read more »
In the middle of another Johnny Drama career meltdown, he ranted about his holding deal. Ari Gold, of course, didn't give it much weight.
Ari not caring much about Drama's career usually delivers a memorable quote. And this time, it's printable.
"The guy who grills my hot dog at Carnie's had a holding deal in 1978," Gold said to Drama.

To all those who have e-mailed me or called the office (yes, people called the office) to inquire about the "Entourage" blog this season, let me say this: I am both humbled and appreciative of the love.
I'll be blogging it out this season, but not until next Tuesday, July 6. I'm on a crazy three-week vacation that has me somewhere in the middle of Colorado right now.

A brief little note to let you all know that Jeremy Piven will be on "The Late Show with David Letterman" this Friday night (Oct. 10).
He's promoting his new movie "RocknRolla." My hunch is his spot with Letterman will be worth watching.
If video becomes available, I'll post up here. But set your TiVos and DVRs just in case, my dear readers....Read more »
Rejoice, my dear Entouragers!
HBO announced Monday that it has re-upped "Entourage" for a sixth season. You know what this means: I've still got a job for at least 12 more weeks next summer.
Production is scheduled to begin in early 2009, according to several reports, and the new season should start airing that summer. Thank the good lord for that: summer "Entourage" is good "Entourage."
The...Read more »
