Ranking the drama in 'Entourage' finale
Season finales on "Entourage" are always action-packed, as the producers tie up loose ends and complete most story arcs. And it's somewhat enjoyable when the episode lasts more than 24 minutes, don't you think?
The Season 6 finale had its share of comedy and drama, as most episodes do. But, with this being a season finale, they were all heightened.
4) Lloyd confronts Ari
The Ari-Lloyd battle all season never really made much sense to me, but when Lloyd curses out Ari and Ari apologizes was a short but important moment for Lloyd's character. And, of course, it ended with a comedic touch.
3) Drama's tired of rejection speech in the "Melrose Place" audition
It's always nice to see Johnny Drama eat some humble pie when it comes to his career. His ticking off of his resume looked heartfelt.
2) E and Sloan's screaming match on the side of the road
Quick and dirty, the scene was packed with honest screaming and emotional reveal. When E said he would marry her right now, Sloan yelled "Have you even thought about this?" E responds, "Yes, I have." A typical back-and-forth exchange between arguing lovers. Then E whips it out - an engagement ring. Nice work, E. And the scene was very well-lit.
1) Ari makes Terrence apologize
In a season of heartfelt moments, Ari Gold finally gets his old boss to break down and apologize. Quite possibly Ari's biggest achievement in six season. Terrence's line about hoping Ari finds someone to take over his legacy in 50 years was a seminal passing of the torch moment.

I feel your pain, Turtle
Being on an airplane in the moments after a relationship ends is even more brutal than being hungover on a plane.
The scene where Jamie-Lynn Sigler essentially ends the relationship with Turtle just before his flight to see her in New Zealand took off had to sting anyone who has even flown on an aircraft after the wind beneath their wings ran out of breath.
After leaving that crazy hot UCLA student Brooke hanging on the edge at her place, Turtle was all gung ho about going to see his girl on a surprise visit. He sat on a plane for 14-plus hours, the brutality of a relationship ended by the other person having happened on the flight to the girl rather than the flight away from the girl.
Dagger.
Turtle's anger toward the flight attendant may have seemed rude at the time, but if you know his pain, it was perfectly done.
At least the story arc, originally a three-episode arc for Sigler, came full circle with the relationship having started and ended on a plane.

Entourage 6/12: The Ari Gold Mine, aka the 2nd best scene ever
I've always been of the belief that the best scene in "Entourage" history was Ari Gold storming the beach at Malibu and verbally undressing Josh Weinstein in front of everyone in ear shot.
Heck, I even named the season-ending awards ("The Joshies") after that scene.
I still maintain that's the best scene of all time, but the Season 6 finale of "Entourage" just delivered to us the second best moment in the show's 78-episode run.

You guessed it: Ari Gold storming into TMA with a plastic paintball gun and blasting everyone in sight "Terminator" style.
O.
M.
G.
I'm sitting on my couch right now with an ice pack on my knee after falling off the couch and probably tearing my meniscus again from laughing so hard as soon as Ari walked onto the screen guns blazing.
I hope you all have good working relationships with people in your office so your dry cleaning bill doesn't go up this week. Actually, I hope you don''t. I hope you copy Ari's "Scarface" impersonation pellet for pellet then email me the photos so I can post them here.
Tell the truth: You watched that scene at least 12 times Sunday night, and you're scouring YouTube, Hulu and elsewhere at work on Monday to watch it again. It's OK to admit it. It was the saving grace of Season 6, and it now makes us want Season 7 to start in 20 minutes.

Entourage 6/12: Best printable line
This is why we need couples therapy scenes in "Entourage."
They deliver.
Every time we see Ari Gold and Mrs. Ari at marriage counseling, something ridiculous will occur. Ari will launch into a tirade and say wildly inappropriate and hurtful things, Mrs. Ari will look shocked, the therapist (lately, it's been Nora Dunn) will sit there in awe and we will all laugh until we fall off the couch.
Of course, Ari's last line of the scene was the best line of the episode since it's exactly what every guy would be thinking in that situation. And, of course, we can't print it here.
However, this scene still delivered the "Entourage" season finale's BPL. During his moving speech, Ari confessed to the hatred of his enemies and put forth his dream scenario for Adam Davies:
"And I would sell that Benedict Arnold Adam Davies into white slavery if we lived in a place that had a market for it."
Ari's work here in the season finale forced a tie with Johnny Drama for the Season 6 Big Knish, given to the character with the most BPLs. We'll have a ceremony on Monday afternoon.

Entourage 6/12: Writer props
Nothing subtle about Writer props in the "Entourage" Season 6 finale. Everything Matt Damon did in this episode was absolutely hilarious.
From his berating of Vince to his questioning of who Drama was, Damon instantly became the best guest star of Season 6, and is in the conversation for best one-episode guest spot of all time.
Plus, he allowed Drama to deliver this gem, a runner-up for the BPL: "He Jason Bourned me."
Damon's work in this episode more than made up for the disappointing "The Informant" movie that came out last month.

Entourage 6/11: 'Entourage' returns to being 'Entourage'
Just when we considered putting "Entourage" on our "Watch on DVR" list instead of watching it "live" at 10:30 p.m., Doug Ellin and the crew gave us reason to hope.
Reason to believe that next week's season finale wouldn't be just a 30-minute chore designed to give us closure on a season gone awry. Reason to consider that maybe Season 7 isn't that bad of an idea.
"Entourage" can still be "Entourage."
After two exceptionally sub-par episodes and a third "decent only because it followed two woeful shows" episode, Episode 11 of "Entourage" proved to be a legitimately good episode. And rewatchable, which is the key to any good episode.
(It's OK to admit that you deleted the last three episodes of "Entourage" from your DVRs and TiVos because you don't care about wanting to watch those again before the Season 6 DVD comes out next summer.)
This episode had all the elements that make "Entourage," well, "Entourage." We had a super-neurotic, ultra-nervous E thinking he might have contracted an STD from some girl. An amusing plot seeing how this entire season has been about E playing the field and struggling with his desire for a real relationship. Mix in the plot twist of Johnny Drama having slept with that girl Tara first and we've got ourselves old-school comedy.
Thankfully, we finally saw E having girl troubles without it involving a girl in the scenes beyond that one establishing shot. Eric Murphy is at his best when he's freaking out over things, be it an STD or Vince's career, not when he's struggling to make emotional decisions.
Another massive Johnny Drama meltdown always keeps us entertained, and when they involve his auditions, that's pure comedy. Even better, though, is the classic 10-second celebrity cameo and how they always manage to know Drama. We never know why or how they're connected, nor do we want to, but when Dean Cain entered the "Melrose Place" audition with a "Oh, hey Drama," I laughed.
Ari Gold is always scheming, but when he has a real adversary, he shines. Bringing Terrence McEwick back was a nice touch, but the better move was showing Ari doing his investigative due diligence, even if that meant going to talk to Terrence's wife. And his negotiation meeting with Terrence was fantastic. (Does anyone really think the deal will go smoothly next week?)
For the relatable guy lesson, and there always is one -- think of it as "Entourage's Fables" -- we had the long-distance relationship issue between Turtle and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Here's the tip: In today's technological world, when you're in a committed relationship, DO NOT save your email and Facebook passwords on your computer if you're both going to use it.
And, of course, we had a random sex scene with Vince and some girl with an insane body.
For a moment, I thought I was watching a Season 2 rerun. Looks like we'll have to record the third quarter of the Steelers-Chargers next week on Sunday Night Football. "Entourage" has earned our eyeballs at 10:30 p.m. for the season finale.

Entourage 6/11: Best Printable Line
It grows increasingly difficult to find the best printable line in episodes of "Entourage." Most of the best lines include curses and other non-printable material.
But Johnny Drama once again stepped to the plate in the final moments of Episode 11.
E comes home to the fellas after getting the results of STD test. Before he can tell the guys the results, Drama blurts out, "Yo, Itchy, what's up?"
Perfect line. True to form for dudes, too. We don't want to admit it, but we've all been on both sides of that conversation. It's never easy, and it's rarely fun. But Drama's line was appropriate, and funny.
Drama has a one-game lead in the race for the Big Knish heading into the season finale.

Entourage 6/11: The Ari Gold Mine
Who knew Ari Gold was such a fantastic doodler on legal pads? Just when I thought the muffin stuffing in an assistant's face would his funniest moment, Ari goes and flashes his artistic side.
The artistry he used to illustrate how much of a leg up he had on negotiations to buy old boss Terrence McEwick's agency was insane. Of course, we can't fully explain the pictorial because of BPL guidelines. However, we can dance around the issue.
Imagine being in a meeting and seeing that happen? Outrageous.
Imagine being in some type of negotiations and having someone flash that drawing in your face? Ridonkulous.
Imagine walking into your ex-boss's office for the heck of it now just to do that? Priceless!

Entourage 6/11: Writer props
Anyone else catch the musical selection when Ari Gold made his triumphant return to the hallways of Terrence McEwick's talent agency?
For those of you who did, you understand why that is this week's Writer Props.
For those of you who didn't, go back to your DVRs and TiVos and watch it again. Listen closely and you'll know.

Entourage 6/10: Best printable line
If not for the "P" in BPL, Lloyd would be dancing at the club tonight with his first Best Printable Line trophy in a long time for his "Yippy-ki-ay" reaction to keeping Johnny Drama as a client.
However, there are rules to selecting the Best Printable Line, as frustrating as it may be for me each Sunday night.
I had to watch this episode three times just to find something even closer to resembling the BPL standards we've set in the past. It was a pretty weak field of candidates here in Week 10 of Season 6.
This episode was all about jealous girls and how crazy they can get in relationships. So, in keeping with the theme of the episode, we'll give the BPL to Jamie-Lynn Sigler.
She dropped Turtle off at school and saw a gaggle of sorority girls waiting. With nothing but complete disgust and venom, she asks Turtle, "Are those the whores who stole your underwear?"
Again, not the typical BPL but most defiinitely the BAL -- Best Acted Line.
