Surprise! Give Howard a question about Jay Leno, and watch Howard froth!

It happened again this morning, just a few minutes past eight, in fact, when Harry Smith had Howard Stern on "The Early Show" in a live remote from his Sirius studio.

What do you think of Jay, asked Harry - posing a fully loaded question.

"Just the mere mention of Jay Leno's name makes me vomit...people are afraid to say how much they dislike Jay Leno, but I'm not."

No, he's not and he hasn't been for years.

Howard unloaded on Jay - "he seems to be the kind of show biz animal that will not let go...he get's fired by NBC. What would you do as a man?"

Harry pointed out that Jay was "spectacularly successful" at 11:35, which is why they brought him back, etc. etc.

Howard: "I was fired by NBC many years ago, and I didn't sit there like a lap dog and take it. I went on terrestrial radio and buried NBC into the ground. He should have dusted himselff off and should have gone and beaten Dave and Jimmy Kimmel and..."

A final thought: "Jay is also a thief."

This kind of anti-Jay rant is not unusual (he's been doing it on his show for as long as I can remember.) What's so interesting is that "The Early Show" - which off course has a vested interest in this whole matter - would give him the forum to do it all over again.
