Neil Young, Patti Smith to play Capitol Theatre in September
Almost exactly one year after The Capitol Theatre reopened with a blockbuster Bob Dylan concert, the Port Chester concert hall will celebrate that anniversary with a Sept. 2 concert featuring two more rock legends.
Canadian rocker Neil Young and Crazy Horse will headline the show in September, with punk poet Patti Smith and Her Band opening. Tickets for the 8 p.m. concert go on sale at noon Friday, with prices ranging from $153 to $228.
Besides Young, The Cap has some major acts lined up for this summer, including Cyndi Lauper (a recent Tony Award winner), Chris Isaak, David Byrne and The Monkees.
In other Cap music news, The B-52s' concert date from earlier this month has been rescheduled for Nov. 9. The band was scheduled to perform June 6 but had to cancel due to singer Cindy Wilson's illness. All tickets for the original date will be honored.
