'Grace and Frankie" will be back for a second season, Netflix announced this week via Twitter.
The comedy, which premiered May 8 on the streaming service, stars Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda as a pair of opposites thrust together when their husbands leave them for each other. Tomlin plays Frankie, a hippie-dippie painter, while Fonda plays Grace, an uptight perfectionist. Sam Waterston and Martin Sheen co-star as their soon-to-be-former husbands.
Since Netflix does not disclose viewership information about its shows, it's unclear whether "Grace and Frankie" has been a hit. Reviews for the comedy, from "Friends" co-creator Marta Kauffman, have been mixed.
The streaming service continues to expand its original comedy offerings, which include "The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" from Tina Fey and Robert Carlock and the animated series "BoJack Horseman."
