Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard had granted her an unpaid leave of absence from February through May 31, but Dorfman has chosen to leave the office instead, Howard's chief of staff, Marla Robinson, told the paper.

The 2012 Wake Forest Law School graduate became an assistant district attorney there in November of that year, according to her LinkedIn profile.
